This project explores my childhood and adolescent obsession with activities that are typically seen as ‘serious’ or ‘boring’, like classical piano and math, and how they contrast with my inherently ‘unserious’ personality. Aspects of these topics I researched to inform my project’s development were traditional classical performance attire (concert blacks), sine waves, my old piano sheet music and math notes, and photos of me as a child.
