About

Hi, my name is Audrey Dellinger. I’m a fashion designer who’s been growing my craft throughout high school and currently in University. I’m currently attending Fashion+ Textiles Foundation at University of the Arts London and will be attending Central Saint Martins for Fashion Design: Knit, where I will continue to grow and strengthen both my technical skills and artistic voice. I am drawn fashion design because of how both conceptuality and materiality can be used to shape how garments work on the body. Fashion design gives me the space needed to translate my ideas into material form. My work begins conceptually, inspired by memories or emotional moments that have stayed with me. Growing up in California between Mill Valley and San Francisco has played a prominent role in influencing how I view space, memory and the body, with these themes being the root of my work. Within that I am particularly interested in how texture is used to influence narrative within design. I want my work to especially connect with those who don't feel as though they ‘fit in’ or fall into a certain category of people. If my work is not relatable for some, it acts as a form of introducing my own perspective on how I view the world: fun, overstimulating, and everything in between.
