For this project I completed while attending Parsons School of Design Pre-College Program, I was tasked with creating an outfit that comes from my own interpretation of the word, "Biomimicry". The first thing I did was quickly brainstorm any ideas I had related to biomimicry through a mind map. I interpreted Biomimicry from a literal point of view, deriving inspiration from different aspects of living organisms, such as human veins, sea kelp, and coral, as seen through my mood board . I wanted to convey my multiple inspirations by using a variety of textiles in the final design.
